By requesting and accepting a remote session from an OIT representative to remotely assist you with a technical related issue, you accept responsibility for any changes made to the desktop content or system settings. Rider University does not assume and is not responsible for any liability for the linking and viewing of any computer content, the operation of the BeyondTrust/Bomgar software or system performance.

Rider University recommends for your security and privacy that you exit any applications you have open that is displaying content such as personal or confidential information before allowing an OIT representative to initiate a remote support session. Rider further recommends that you remain seated at your desktop throughout the entire remote session.

At no time does the University accept liability for the maintenance, backup, or loss of data on a personal owned
device; nor personal data. It is the responsibility of the equipment owner to backup all software and data to other
appropriate backup storage systems before requesting assistance from IT.

At no time does the University accept liability for the security of the personal owned device when accessing
University networks on or off campus.

To begin your remote support session, enter the session key given to you by OIT, then click Submit.
Your browser will prompt you to download and run a small application, then you'll see a Bomgar chat window, where you accept the OIT's request to share your screen.
